The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of young medical professionals who can apply for a one-time state payment of 200 thousand hryvnias upon employment. This was reported on the government portal on June 4.
One-time financial assistance from the state can be received by graduates of medical specialties who meet all the mandatory conditions:
- successfully completed an internship at a state higher education institution;
- found a job at a state or municipal healthcare institution;
- undertook work in an official position in the relevant institution for at least three years;
- have chosen to work in communities where a critical need for medical personnel has been officially identified.
Previously, such financial support only applied to graduates who started working in rural areas or directly in areas of active hostilities.
According to the new government decision, doctors who found employment in medical institutions in areas of possible hostilities also received the right to payment of 200 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, exceptions are provided from the approved list of such territories. The program does not operate in the Kyiv region, as well as in the regional centers: Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
