The Government of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs evacuated Ukrainians from Lebanon due to deteriorating security

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the evacuation of 30 Ukrainians from Lebanon due to the deterioration of the security situation. The evacuees, including 21 women and 9 children, have arrived in Poland and are receiving the necessary assistance.
“According to the instructions of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly organized the evacuation of thirty of our citizens from Lebanon, where the security situation has deteriorated sharply.
We express our gratitude to SkyUp Airlines, which provided the plane for the transportation of Ukrainians. Our compatriots, including 21 women and nine children, have already arrived in Rzeszów, Poland, and are safe. They were met by Ukrainian consuls and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine – they provide the evacuees with all the necessary assistance and ensure their escort to our country.
Ukraine became one of the first in the world to successfully evacuate its citizens from Lebanon. As in previous cases of crises and armed conflicts abroad, Ukraine demonstrates leadership in caring for its people. Ukrainian diplomats warned our citizens in Lebanon about the danger and recommended to leave the territory of the republic in advance.” – it is said in messages GUR.
It is also reported that employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continue to work on providing assistance to citizens of Ukraine who are in Lebanon. Work continues on the possibility of further evacuation of other Ukrainians who express a desire to leave Lebanese territory.

Citizens who have made a personal decision to continue their stay on the territory of Lebanon are advised to avoid places of mass gathering of people, not to participate in demonstrations, strictly observe security measures and the rules for the stay of foreigners in the country, comply with the legal requirements of law enforcement agencies, monitor the notifications of local authorities about the development of the situation , do not leave your place of residence unless absolutely necessary, always carry documents proving your identity, and also consider the possibility of shortening your stay in the country.”
During their stay in Lebanon, citizens of Ukraine are also advised to refrain from traveling to the territories bordering the Syrian border; bordering the Israeli border south of the Litani River; to refugee camps Nahr Al-Bared and Beddawi (near Tripoli), Ain Al-Khilweh and Mieh Mieh (near Saida); Bekaa Valley; southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiye district).
