The Government of Ukraine has allocated over UAH 263 million from the state budget reserve fund for payments to emergency crews

The Government of Ukraine has allocated funds from the state budget reserve fund to pay employees who participated in the elimination of the consequences of attacks on critical infrastructure facilities. Financial support is provided for specialists from the fuel and energy complex, housing and communal services, railway transport and other industries involved in emergency and recovery work.

According to information from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the total amount of funds allocated is 263,460 thousand hryvnias. The main part of the funding — over 196 million hryvnias — is directed to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

The remaining amount, which amounts to almost 67 million hryvnias, will be received by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine for distribution among the relevant enterprises.

The adopted decision also provides for adjustments to previous government orders. This will allow for an increase in the volume of payments for January and February 2026. Thus, the state continues the implementation of the social support program for personnel working in emergency situations.

“Each worker who worked in emergency recovery teams was provided with an additional payment of 20 thousand hryvnias for January, February and March — that is, 20 thousand hryvnias for each month”, — President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously noted.

In total, such additional payments were accrued to almost 40 thousand specialists throughout the country during the winter-spring period. Stable financing of these expenditures is part of the state strategy to ensure the sustainability of the energy and utility systems.

The allocated funds will allow for timely payments to employees who ensure the functioning of vital facilities during the energy crisis. State support for critical infrastructure specialists remains a priority area of budget policy in the face of constant challenges.
