The Lego company presented the most expensive set in history, costing 1000 dollars
The Lego company set a new record by presenting the most expensive set worth $1,000. This is the “Death Star” from the Star Wars series. The previous record holder was the $800 Star Wars Millennium Falcon set, reports The Vergo.
The set consists of 9,023 parts, making it the largest in the Star Wars line. The set includes brick-and-mortar reproductions of the trash press, Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, Princess Leia’s chamber, the thrust beam control unit and the Imperial shuttle hangar.
The set includes 38 minifigures, including Luke Skywalker (in Jedi and stormtrooper versions), Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine and two droid figures.
The constructor will be available to members of the Lego Insider program from October 1, 2025, and from October 4 to everyone who wants it. Its price is 999.99 euros. Those who purchase the set between October 1st and October 7th will receive a bonus bundle with Tie Fighter.
Let us remind you that the Lego Group was founded by Ole Christiansen in the Danish city of Billund in 1932. The company’s name comes from the two Danish words LEg GOdt, meaning “play well”. In the first half of 2015, Lego Group became the world’s largest toy company by sales, and the value of its shares reached 2.1 billion dollars. Today, the brand’s products are sold in more than 120 countries of the world.
