The Ministry of Defense allocated UAH 140 million for improved nutrition of the wounded
Department of procurement policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine singled out 140 million hryvnias for the organization of improved nutrition for servicemen undergoing treatment in medical institutions.
It is about providing food according to special norms in force in military medical institutions, taking into account the needs of wounded and sick soldiers who are recuperating in hospitals of various subordinates.
“In general, more than 634 million hryvnias have been earmarked for the implementation of this initiative by 2025. It is important for us that wounded servicemen receive full nutrition, regardless of the institution in which they are treated.” – emphasized the director of the Department of Procurement Policy of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Hleb Kanevskyi.
The Ministry of Defense announced its intention to continue systematically implementing solutions that improve the conditions of treatment and rehabilitation of military personnel.
It will be recalled that in February 2025, the department turned to food chains with an offer to participate in tenders for the supply of food products for the Armed Forces under the updated procurement system. This model involves not only cooperation with retail chains, but also direct deliveries from manufacturers and the involvement of professional logistics partners.
