The Ministry of Defense announced new digital services for the Armed Forces of Ukraine based on the “Impulse” system
The digital military personnel accounting system “Impuls” will become the basis for creating new services and developing other IT products in the Armed Forces to effectively meet various needs during service. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Servicemen will be able to view their electronic military ID, receive vacation pay, control the number of days of vacation and seniority, as well as keep records of weapons, property and payments. Currently, “Impuls” is already being implemented in military units of the Airborne Assault Forces and helps optimize the work of personnel services, “combat” and commanders.
For personnel services, the system means the automation of routine processes, the ability to quickly generate orders, certificates and reports without manually copying data. For the “battle” it is a single card of a serviceman, which records all the events of his service, which ensures the consistency of data about the unit. For commanders, it is convenient analytics on the manning and combat readiness of units, available instantly upon request.
“The “Impulse” system is the foundation for the digitalization of the entire army. It already helps to record service events in a single place, reduces the time for preparing documents and creates a technical basis for new digital services focused on the military”, – noted Oksana Ferchuk, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.
The system operates in a closed, secure loop. Access to information is regulated by roles and levels, and all user actions are recorded. The development of “Impulse” is being carried out by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which employs IT specialists with experience in the civilian sector. The direct deployment of the system in military units is carried out by units of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
