The Ministry of Defense approved 10 standards of combat helmets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved 10 reference samples of combat ballistic helmets for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service. All of them meet the highest international standards and have 1 class of protection, informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“Clearly defined standard samples of personal protective equipment, in particular helmets, allow to ensure high quality, fast logistics and competitive procurement between Ukrainian manufacturers.” – says the report.
Approved models include 6 full-size helmets and 4 high-cut helmets. They were developed by 8 Ukrainian manufacturers and 2 foreign companies from Bulgaria. Two more foreign manufacturers, whose products have successfully passed military (experimental) tests, are currently undergoing laboratory tests to obtain the status of a reference sample.
The Director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense, Hleb Kanevskyi, noted that in 2024, under the budget program, the army received more than 168,000 helmets worth 1.2 billion hryvnias.
