The Ministry of Health clarified the issue of pension payments for military personnel with disabilities

Servicemen with the status of a person with a disability have the right to receive pension payments without the mandatory re-examination during service. About this reported press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Benefits continue to accrue both during service and for 60 days after discharge or until a daily functioning assessment is completed. This is stipulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance” (clause 146.1 of Chapter XV) and Resolution No. 1338 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated November 15, 2024.
Servicemen’s disability pension is paid for the entire period of service, within 60 days of discharge, or until the date of assessment of daily functioning, if earlier. Re-evaluation during service is not mandatory and is carried out only at the request of the individual or if there are specific reasons. Even after the end of the pre-review period, benefits continue without interruption in case of continuation of service.
The decision on the further payment of the pension is made on the basis of the data contained in the register of insured persons of the State Register of mandatory state social insurance, which records information about the completion of military service, the status of disability and the date of assessment of daily functioning or its absence.
In case of re-evaluation of daily functioning and change of group or subgroup of disability, the amount of the pension is adjusted from the month following the month of receipt of the change notification by the Pension Fund of Ukraine. If a person is assigned a lower disability group, the pension is paid according to the previous group until the end of the month in which the change took place.
