The Ministry of Internal Affairs has suspended 6 senior officials of the National Guard from their positions.

Six senior officials of the National Guard of Ukraine have been temporarily suspended from their duties. About this reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

“Six officials of the management of the logistics department of the Main Directorate of the National Guard have been removed from their posts. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has appointed an official investigation”, the message says.

The ministry noted that the agency fully supports the investigation.

Previously, a number of mass media, in particular ZN.ua, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, reported, that on May 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducted searches in the structures of the National Guard for the second day in a row. The investigation concerns criminal proceedings opened under the articles on property appropriation, money laundering and bribery.

It is reported that the searches were carried out, in particular, in

  • Brigadier General, Commander of the NGU Oleksandr Pivnenko;
  • Colonel Serhii Hrytsenko, who holds the position of director of the Logistics Department of the Main Administration of NSU;
  • Colonel Mykola Modlinsky, who also heads one of the logistics departments;
  • Colonel Oleksandr Kalatynets, Deputy Director of the Department of Logistics and Head of the Department of Automotive and Armored Equipment;
  • Colonel Denys Ganaz, Head of the Quartering and Capital Construction Department;
  • Colonel Volodymyr Fedorovsky, Head of the Central Base of Production and Technological Equipment of NSU in Kyiv.

Searches also continued in the office premises of the Central Support Base of the Main Directorate of the National Guard.
