The higher anti-corruption court decided to remove the electronic bracelet from the former head of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev. However, the court extended until July 27 the validity of other preventive measures imposed on him.

The decision to remove the bracelet was made after Knyazev’s complaints about problems with the electricity supply and the negative impact of the device on his health. According to the former head of the Supreme Court, the absence of electricity for six hours a day makes wearing the bracelet ineffective and also leads to a deterioration in his well-being.
Among the duties that remain valid for Knyazev:
- To appear before the court prosecutor at the first request;
- not to leave Ukraine;
- refrain from communicating with witnesses;
- hand over passports for traveling abroad.
We will remind that Knyazev is accused of receiving 1.8 million dollars of illegal profit. According to the investigation, he received money from persons interested in making court decisions in favor of oligarch Konstantin Zhevago. Vsevolod Knyazev was detained on May 15, 2023 while accepting a bribe. After that, he was taken into custody, but later he was released on bail.
