The National Film Critics’ Award “Kinokolo” has announced the nominees for the 2025 awards

The Eighth National Film Critics’ Award “Kinokolo” has announced the list of nominees who will compete for awards in 2025. This was reported by the Ukrainian Film Academy.

In the category “Best Feature Film”, five films have been nominated for the award: “You Are Space” (director Pavlo Ostrikov), “War Through the Eyes of Animals” (directors Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi, Yuliya Shashkova, Maksym Tuzov, Andriy Lidahovskyi, Ivan Sautkin, Svyatoslav Kostyuk, Oleksiy Mamedov), “MUR. You [Romance] in the cinema” (director Oleksandr Khomenko), “Oxygen Station” (director Ivan Tymchenko) and “Our Home in the Light” (director Elis Biletska).

The film “You are the Space” is also presented in a number of other nominations, including “Discovery of the Year”, “Best Direction”, “Best Actor”, “Best Actress” and “Best Screenplay”.

In the “Best Feature Documentary” category, the films “2000 Meters to Andriyivka” (director Mstislav Chernov), “Divia” (director Dmytro Hreshko), “Songs of a Slowly Burning Land” and “A Simple Soldier” will compete. (directors Artem Ryzhykov and Juan Camilo Cruz).

In 2025, as before, the “Kinokolo” award will celebrate the most outstanding achievements of Ukrainian cinema and film industry representatives. Winners will be announced in 11 nominations, and laureates will be determined by film critics, film journalists and film experts of Ukraine.

Let us recall that last year, the winner of the National Film Critics Award “Kinokolo” in the category “Best Feature Film” was the film “Grey Bees” directed by Dmytro Moiseyev.
