The number of registered software registrars of settlement transactions in Ukraine is approaching one million
In Ukraine, the active introduction of cash registers and software registers of settlement operations (PRO/PRRO) is ongoing. About this reported State tax service.
Over the past year, honest taxpayers additionally registered more than 101,000 such devices, which significantly increased the number of taxed payment points.
In total, more than 953 thousand PRO/PRRO have already been registered in the country, and this number continues to grow. For consumers, this is a guarantee of a safe purchase. Every buyer can check the authenticity of a fiscal check online in the Electronic Cabinet. This is especially relevant for purchases in online stores, since the fiscal check confirms payment and provides the opportunity to return the product.
For businesses, the use of PRO/PRRO simplifies control over product balances and creates equal and transparent working conditions, eliminating unfair competition. For the state, these are additional tax revenues directed to support the military, social assistance and development of the country.
The State Tax Service expressed gratitude to entrepreneurs who faithfully fulfill their obligations, pay taxes and support the economy of Ukraine.
We would like to remind you that the law on mandatory cash registers (PRO/PRRO) for FOP entered into force on January 1, 2021. However, due to numerous protests and the pandemic, the Verkhovna Rada extended the transition period for another year.
At the beginning of the full-scale war, the authorities forbade fining entrepreneurs for not using the PRO/PRRO, except in cases related to the sale of excise goods. Later, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 8401, which canceled this moratorium.
From October 1, 2023, businesses are required to use PRO. Violation of this rule threatens with fines that can reach tens of thousands of hryvnias.
In October 2024, the historical record of the volume of “white” trade transactions carried out using settlement transaction registrars was updated.
