The President extended sanctions against oligarchs for 10 years

Volodymyr Zelensky signed decree, according to which sanctions against oligarchs connected to Russia are extended for another 10 years. In addition to Firtash and Fuchs, sanctions were imposed against a number of other business representatives who were accused of supplying raw materials to the Russian Federation.
Sanctions were also imposed on companies that are directly affiliated with the Russian military-industrial complex, which uses titanium in the military sphere. In March 2023, SBU and BEB officers searched the offices of gas distribution companies belonging to Dmytro Firtash’s RGK group.
The Bureau of Economic Security reported that their employees, under the operational support of the SBU, are investigating a criminal scheme of manipulation at gas distribution enterprises. On July 14, Firtash announced that he had lost control over Severodonetsk “Azot”.
Earlier, the head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, announced that all 26 gas distribution companies from the Firtash regional gas group will be privatized.
The Cabinet of Ministers handed over previously seized assets of gas distribution companies belonging to Dmytro Firtash to the management of Chornomornaftogaz. On May 28, 2022, the government also handed over 26 arrested regional gas oligarch Dmytro Firtash to the state-owned enterprise Chornomornaftogaz (managed by Naftogaz Ukraine).
On May 23, the Supreme Court finally deprived Firtash of ownership of the Zaporizhzhia titanium-magnesium plant, handing it over to the state.
