The President of Poland arrived on a visit to China

President of Poland Andrzej Duda arrived on an official visit to China. He will meet with Xi Jinping. The main topics of conversation are security and economic issues, including trade.

On June 24, Duda will meet with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, as well as with the Prime Minister of China Li Qiang and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Parliament Zhao Lei.
Duda announced that he would talk to Xi Jinping about the security situation in Eastern Europe.
“This visit is very important for our security in Europe. We know that China is a superpower, we know that it has friendly relations not only with Belarus, but also with Russia. And this is something I would like to discuss with President Xi Jinping“, Duda said.
The President of Poland will also discuss the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, from where representatives of Belarus are trying to cross the flow of migrants to the EU. China has friendly relations with Belarus, and Duda wants to tell Chinese leaders what Warsaw is facing.
On June 25, Duda will take part in the summer World Economic Forum in Dalyan, where he will present Poland as an attractive country for investment.
The next day in Shanghai, the Polish president will take part in the Polish-Chinese economic forum.
According to the data of the Main Statistical Office, in 2023, Poland imported goods from China worth 47.4 billion euros, which is 13.9% of total imports. And goods for a much smaller amount were sent to China – about 3.7 billion euros.
Duda announced that he will discuss economic relations and peace in Ukraine with Xi Jinping. He recognized the importance of China for the future of peace in Ukraine.
