On the evening of April 2, the sounds of explosions were recorded in Kryvyi Rih, and a column of smoke was seen in one of the districts of the city. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the City Defense Council noted, that the Russian army struck with a ballistic missile. According to preliminary data, as a result of the attack, 4 people died, 14 more were injured.
“In the evening, the enemy again attacked our city with a ballistic missile. Again – on the object of civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, four people died. All civilians. Condolences to relatives and friends.
Another 14 people were injured, including two children – an 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. Eleven wounded, including an 8-year-old boy in serious condition, were taken to the hospital. The condition of 10 wounded is of moderate severity. Doctors provide the wounded with all the necessary assistance and fight for their lives.” – says the message.
As a result of the impact, a large-scale fire broke out. All emergency services promptly arrived at the scene. Currently, the fire has been extinguished, the emergency rescue operation continues.
The impact caused damage to eight apartment buildings. The power line was cut, leaving 1,900 consumers without power. Restoration work is ongoing. The final consequences are still being determined. All necessary utilities are involved in the liquidation.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi reacted to the attack on Kryvyi Rih:
“A targeted Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. All the necessary services are on the ground, eliminating the consequences of the shelling and helping people. There are victims. They are being given medical assistance. As of now, it is known that four people, unfortunately, were killed by this attack. All of the dead are civilians. My condolences to their relatives and friends.
All over the world, such strikes are called the same: they are terror. It can be stopped only by sufficient pressure on Moscow, on the Russian system, so that they are forced to give up war and terror, and this depends on partners – from America, from Europe, from the rest of the world. All of us are separated from at least a complete and unconditional cessation of hostilities only by Russia’s lack of agreement to end the war.”
The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office opened proceedings under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the scene, and have documented the impact of the impact.
