On the night of June 28, Russian troops attacked Odessa with drones. As a result of the impact, three floors of the high-rise building caught fire. Currently, two dead and four wounded are known. informs State Emergency Service.
“Tonight, Russia hit a 21-story residential building in Odessa. As a result of the hit, a fire broke out on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. People were trapped in the apartments. 5 people were rescued, among them a small child. It is preliminary known about 2 dead, at least 4 injured.” – says the message.
Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov clarified, that the dead turned out to be a married couple:
“Rescuers have just found the bodies of a married couple who died as a result of an enemy drone hitting their apartment.”
Psychologists are working at the scene, and the State Emergency Service has also deployed the Point of Invincibility. The operation was hampered by repeated air alarms. Search and rescue operations continue. In the morning, the operative headquarters of the district administration started work on the spot.
The first explosions in Odesa rang out around 11:43 p.m. — at least five were heard in total. Already at 23:51 Air Force reported about the detection of several Russian attack drones over the city. The air alert was canceled at 00:15.
