The Russian Federation and India have started joint military exercises
Russia and India have started joint military exercises aimed at strengthening cooperation and sharing experience in the field of combating terrorism. The maneuvers are taking place in the state of Rajasthan and will last until mid-October. reports Reuters.
The Indra 2025 training began at the Mahajan training ground, which will end on October 15. The Ministry of Defense of Russia noted that the main purpose of these maneuvers is to improve joint actions within the framework of counter-terrorist operations and increase the level of interaction between the military units of the two states.
“The main task of the exercises is to work out the coherence of the units of both countries in the fight against terrorism, including improving the tactics of anti-terrorist operations. Particular attention will be paid to increasing interoperability and sharing best practices in the context of modern military operations, the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
Joint exercises of the Indra series have been held since 2003 and are designed to strengthen the strategic partnership between Moscow and New Delhi. Despite international pressure, India continues to maintain military contacts with Russia, using them to share experience and improve the interoperability of the armed forces in various combat scenarios.
