The SAP filed a lawsuit with the VAKS to recognize the assets of the official of the regional service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for UAH 8.6 million as unsubstantiated
The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office applied to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a claim regarding the assets of the leading consultant-administrator of the regional service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Zakarpattia region. The Prosecutor of the SAP, having used independently collected evidence, as well as the materials of the NAKC and the SBI, demands that the property acquired by the official in 2020–2022 be recognized as unfounded.
The lawsuit was filed taking into account the evidence collected independently, as well as the materials of the NAKC and the State Bureau of Investigation. It is about five apartments and four parking spaces in Zakarpattia region, a 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ E 200 car, as well as a 2018 BMW 730D and AUDI A8. The total value of these assets exceeds UAH 8.6 million.
Monitoring of the official’s lifestyle confirmed that the property was registered to him and his family members. At the same time, the car, which according to the documents is registered to the employee’s daughter, was purchased 15 times cheaper than the market value.
SAP noted that after the start of the verification of the legality of the acquisition of assets, the official and his family transferred part of the property to relatives. An analysis of the income and expenses of the official and his family showed that they could not purchase these assets legally.
According to Art. 290 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine, assets may be seized in favor of the state by decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
