The SBU announced large-scale checks and restrictions in Lviv
From today and during the next few days, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting counter-intelligence (security) measures in Lviv. Residents and guests of the city are urged to have documents with them and to understand possible inconveniences. This is reports the press service of the SBU Directorate in Lviv Oblast.
The National Police, the Patrol Police, the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces, the State Border Service and the National Guard are involved in the activities. The actions of law enforcement officers cover the entire territory of Lviv. Their goal is to prevent terrorist and subversive actions, neutralize threats of intelligence and subversive activities against Ukraine, and increase the level of security of citizens in the face of Russian aggression.
Measures are carried out taking into account the legal regime of martial law. At this time, they can restrict the passage and passage through the streets, check citizens’ documents and inspect cars. In case of well-founded suspicions about individuals, their additional verification is possible. Also, law enforcement officers will inspect the territories and premises of public use to detect prohibited items.
The SBU calls on citizens to understand possible inconveniences, to comply with the legal requirements of law enforcement officers, to carry identification documents, and to observe the curfew regime.
