The United States is not discussing a new aid package for Ukraine

At the moment, there are practically no active discussions in the White House and the US Congress regarding further support for Ukraine, despite the expiration of the previous aid package, which was approved during the presidency of Joe Biden. About this informs The New York Times.
The current military and financial aid that was approved at the end of Biden’s term is almost exhausted. However, neither the administration nor lawmakers on Capitol Hill are in serious discussion about new support.
“European officials say they have not even received assurances that the United States will continue to provide Ukraine with intelligence that is key to its ability to strike Russian forces and infrastructure.” – the message says.
Currently, the White House, speaking about relations with Ukraine, mostly focuses on the benefits for the US, and not on further intentions to support Kyiv.
In particular, after the recent events in the Oval Office, Washington and Kyiv are revising agreements related to American investments and US access to Ukrainian strategic resources. An example is the document on access to natural resources, which has not yet been signed, although its discussion has been ongoing for about six weeks.
It will be recalled that on April 18, the USA presented its proposals regarding a possible “peace agreement” between Ukraine and Russia to its European allies. These initiatives provide, in particular, the easing of sanctions against the Russian Federation in the event of achieving and maintaining a long-term ceasefire.
