The United States is planning a deal with Ukraine that will cover not only rare earth metals
The USA intends to conclude an agreement with Ukraine, which will include not only the supply of rare earth metals, but also other resources. About this stated US President Donald Trump at the Conservative Politicians, Journalists and Lawmakers Conference (CPAC) in Maryland.
Trump emphasized that American interests in these resources are connected with the desire to “return the funds” invested in Ukraine. In his opinion, while European countries provided financial assistance to Ukraine in the form of loans, the USA helped free of charge.
“I am negotiating with President Zelenskyi and President Putin. My goal is either to return the invested funds or to preserve their value.” – said Trump.
According to him, Europe gave Ukraine 100 billion dollars, and the United States – 350 billion dollars, and he accused the previous president Biden of irrevocably providing these funds to Ukraine.
Trump also emphasized:
“I want the Ukrainians to give us at least something in return for the money we have invested, and I want to end the war by putting an end to the many deaths. The requirements will apply not only to rare earth metals, but also to oil and other resources. We will get our money back because it’s not fair, it’s just not fair.”
