Orban, the former prime minister of the Czech Republic and the far-right of Austria are creating their own group in the European Parliament: details

Today, June 30, in Vienna, Viktor Orbán, the leader of the Hungarian party “Fidesz”, Herbert Kikl, the leader of the far-right Austrian party “Svoboda”, and the former prime minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis announced the creation of a new right-wing group in the European Parliament.

This is reported Telex.

This initiative grew out of their meeting, where a “patriotic manifesto for the future of Europe” was concluded. According to Orbán, the European Union has turned against its citizens and is now defending interests that contradict the will of nations and regions.

We take it upon ourselves to create a group that will be the strongest right-wing coalition in Europe.”, Orbán said, emphasizing the victories of his party, the Austrian right and Andrei Babis’s ANO in the last European Parliament elections.

The political unification of the three leaders is no longer considered unexpected, given Babish’s early statements about the formation of his own Eurogroup and Fidesz’s negotiations to join other conservative formations in the European Parliament. The final names and composition of the new factions must be announced by July 15, and the successful creation of an alliance between Orban, Babis and Kikl requires the support of parliamentarians from at least four European Union countries.
