The US Congress will not approve new aid to Ukraine
Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson stated, that there is no support in the Congress for the adoption of a new draft law on large-scale aid to Ukraine.
“Listen, there’s no appetite for that,” – answered Johnson when asked about the possibility of passing such a bill in the event of a protracted war.
He also addressed the audience present, who shouted in unison: “No!”
At the same time, the Republican speaker noted that it is necessary to bring this war to an end, stressing that European allies are also aware of the importance of this issue.
“President Trump is absolutely right, it’s time to end this,” – emphasized Johnson, adding that the US president is able to do this.
We will remind that during the Munich Security Conference, the former First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, said that without American military aid, Ukraine would be able to survive for about six months.
“Europe cannot replace American aid”, he emphasized.
