The Verkhovna Rada exempted companies that delayed the supply of weapons to the front from fines: Gerashchenko

On January 9, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 6013, which exempts companies that delayed the delivery of weapons to the front from fines. 248 People’s Deputies voted for it, reported People’s Deputy Iryna Gerashchenko.

“Only 248 People’s Deputies – Slugy, OPZZH, and for some reason the Voice supported the draft law on the peculiarities of regulating the entrepreneurial activity of individual legal entities in the transition period #6013. How they took away fines for the low-quality supply of weapons and shells and mines from unscrupulous suppliers! Imagine this brutality! Legalized low-quality mines and shells, supported the corrupt, not the Armed Forces”, says Gerashchenko’s message.

She noted that the bill repeals the Economic Code of Ukraine, which may negatively affect the stability of communities and the state in wartime conditions. One of the key provisions of the document is the complete privatization of state and communal enterprises. According to Gerashchenko, the authors of the draft law did not take into account possible risks for communities associated with the transfer of communal property into private hands during martial law.

The proposed changes provide for the liquidation of private, state and communal enterprises and their replacement by limited liability companies. It is also planned to introduce a 7-year transitional period for the reorganization, cancellation of economic trust and operational management of state property, with the subsequent replacement of these mechanisms by lease, management or transfer into ownership.

Gerashchenko drew attention to the corruption risks posed by this draft law, especially in the area of transfer of state and communal property. She emphasized that the privatization of state-owned enterprises in the current conditions may cause the loss of control over strategically important objects, which poses an additional threat to a country at war.
