The war caused a boom in demand for tarot cards in Ukraine

In Ukraine, against the background of the war unleashed by Russia, the demand for tarot cards for divination is growing. This is reported by Forbes.

If in 2022 the number of queries on Google regarding Tarot was only 50-75 per week, then in 2025 the volume of the market in Ukraine is expected to be $85 million. Analysts predict that demand growth will continue at least until 2030.

Tarot cards have become popular not only among consumers, but also among entrepreneurs who saw this as a business opportunity. In particular, some companies began to offer individual decks of Tarot cards, as well as to conduct master classes and trainings on divination.

The increase in demand has been influenced by war and uncertainty, as the unstable situation forces people to look for ways to predict the future or receive psychological support, interest in mysticism and self-development, popularization of tarot in the media and social networks, and the availability and commercialization of cards.

The owner of the Ukrainian company Strateg Oleksandr Sivak said that he planned to launch the first line of Tarot cards as early as 2021 after analyzing the Western market. He predicted that interest in this type of divination in Ukraine would become massive, and his predictions were confirmed: the market is developing rapidly, attracting tens of millions of hryvnias. In just five months of this year, his company sold 160,000 logs and earned about UAH 100 million.
