“This will be the last election.” Musk says he’ll be jailed if Trump loses

American billionaire Elon Musk expressed concern that he could end up in prison if Donald Trump, whom he actively supports, loses the 2024 presidential election. Musk said this during an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson.

“If he loses, I’m done. How long do you think I’ll be in prison? Do you think I’ll see my kids?”, Musk said.

The billionaire did not explain what exactly could lead to his imprisonment, but expressed dubious predictions about the political future of the United States. He suggested that Trump’s defeat could lead to the end of real political competition between Republicans and Democrats. Musk said Trump’s defeat could be the start of “one-party rule” for Democrats.

“I believe that if Trump does not win this election, this will be the last election. My prediction is that if the Democratic administration lasts four more years, they will legalize so many illegals that there will be no swing states in the next election.” Musk noted.

What are “shaky states”

Swing states (eng. swing states or battleground states) are states where the election result can change between candidates from different parties. Unlike states with consistent Democratic or Republican support, voting in swing states remains unpredictable. It is the victory in such states that often decides the outcome of presidential elections.

In the 2024 election, the list of swing states includes Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where candidates will fight for every vote.
