Trump’s special envoy announced a meeting between the US and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia

Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff said that next week in Saudi Arabia, talks between the delegations of Ukraine and the US regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war are planned. About this informs Sky News.

Witkoff, who is officially responsible for Middle East issues, but has already participated in negotiations with Russia, said that the meeting with Ukraine is at the stage of preparation.

He praised Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s appeal to Donald Trump after their failed meeting at the White House last week, calling it an “important first step.” According to him, the meeting will take place in Riyadh, although Jeddah is also being considered as a possible location.

“The city is still being determined, but it will definitely be Saudi Arabia,” – he noted.

Witkoff also reported that Washington is working on agreeing the framework of a peace agreement and an initial ceasefire for Ukraine. It is expected that the Ukrainian delegation will be headed by the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, and it may include Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

On the US side, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Special Envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff will take part in the talks.
