Trump threatened Putin with Tomahawk deliveries to Ukraine if the war is not ended

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he will inform Vladimir Putin about the possibility of transferring long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine if a settlement of the war is not reached in the near future. This was announced by the US President during a conversation with journalists on board Air Force One.

“To be honest, I might have to talk to Russia about the “Tomahawks”. Do they want the “Tomahawks” flew in their direction? I don’t think so. “I think I should talk to Russia about it, to be honest,” Trump said.

The American president did not specify whether an official decision had been made regarding possible supplies, but emphasized that Washington expects “significant progress” in settling the conflict in the coming weeks.

Recall that on October 6, Donald Trump said that he “to some extent” made a decision to transfer Tomahawk long-range missiles to Ukraine. He added that he does not seek escalation and before making a final decision he wants to find out what exactly these missiles will be used for and where they plan to direct them.

At the same time, US Vice President JD Vance confirmed that Washington is considering the possibility of supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles, but the final decision rests with Trump. Prior to that, during a meeting in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked Trump to provide Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles.
