US President Donald Trump has warned federal employees to be fired if they oppose his administration’s policies, stressing that the reign of unelected bureaucrats is coming to an end. This statement was done during Trump’s speech to Congress.
The president invoked his “mandate for bold and profound change” in opposing regulations and debt approvals that he believes are slowing down the federal government.
Trump said “hundreds of thousands of federal employees have not shown up for work” as his administration rolled back COVID-era rules that provided more flexibility.
“My administration is taking back power from an unaccountable bureaucracy, and we will once again restore true democracy to America. And any federal bureaucrat who resists these changes will be immediately removed from office. Because we are ‘draining the swamp.’ It’s that simple. And the days of unelected bureaucrats are over.” – said Trump.
