The new project, called Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship (RISE), aims to support the development of small and medium-sized businesses, promote environmental transition, improve the business environment, digitalise, and expand opportunities to enter new markets.

The programme will run until 2027, and its total budget will exceed $1 billion.

Shmyhal stressed that this project will have a significant impact on strengthening Ukraine’s economy and developing small and medium-sized businesses, helping them to respond more effectively to current challenges.

The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to World Bank President Ajay Banza, Managing Director Anna Bjerde and Regional Director Bob Som for their continued support of Ukraine in its difficult times.
