Ukrainian enterprises exported 3.34 million tons of iron ore raw material (ORR) worth $310.5 million in March 2024. This indicator is a record for an hour of the war and is twice the export of military equipment for the first quarter of 2023. Iron ore accounted for 9% of the total monetary volume of Ukrainian commodity exports for the reporting period.

March 2024 was the most successful month for munitions exports since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. Export revenues for the first quarter of 2024 reached $863 million, which is 39.4% more than in 2023.
China remains the main buyer of Ukrainian iron ore raw materials, importing 43% of exports by sea. In March, 17% of the export of the ZRS was delivered to Slovakia by rail. The export of metals and their products in March amounted to $307.6 million.
