The Verkhovna Rada is considering draft law No. 9016, which provides for the introduction of fines from 510 to 850 hryvnias for dangerous transportation of animals. These are cases where drivers transport animals, such as cats and dogs, without proper restraint or holding them in their arms.

In the event of a high-speed accident, unattended cats or dogs can not only be injured or killed, but also dangerous to the driver and passengers, causing serious injury. The date of consideration of the draft law in the Verkhovna Rada is still unknown.

The document is included in the agenda of the current session of the parliament and is being reviewed by the relevant committees.
