Ukraine needs $27 billion in aid to cover the budget deficit
Ukraine is counting on significant financial assistance from international partners to cover the state budget deficit, which due to the full-scale war with Russia has reached significant proportions. In general, the need for international financing for 2024, included in this year’s budget, reaches $37.2 billion.

The total need for external financing for 2024, included in the budget, reaches $37.2 billion. As of the end of April, Ukraine has already received $10.2 billion, which is more than a quarter of the planned amount.
Sources of received funds:
- EU: $4.9 billion (equivalent to $4.5 billion under the Ukraine Facility)
- Japan: $2.1 billion
- Canada: $1.5 billion
- IMF: $0.9 billion
- Great Britain: $0.5 billion
- Norway: $0.3 billion
