Ukraine plans to create a new digital registry of military personnel

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the procedure for maintaining the State Register of Military Personnel, the only digital source of information about the Ukrainian military. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The new register will become the basis for the implementation of an electronic military registration document, and will also allow for the automation of military registration and accelerated access to social guarantees and digital services. In particular, military personnel will be able to use some of the services through the Army+ platform.

After the launch of the register, military personnel and their family members will have fewer paper procedures and the need to resubmit the same documents. Faster and more convenient access to social guarantees and digital services is also expected, and the level of personal data protection will be increased.

For the Armed Forces, the registry will become the only verified source of information about servicemen. This will allow for better management decisions based on up-to-date data and more efficient use of the working time of authorized persons through process automation.

At the state level, the new system should ensure better interaction between information registries, increase the accuracy and transparency of data, and contribute to more efficient use of state resources.

The approved procedure also defines the rules for forming, updating, storing and protecting information in the registry, as well as the conditions for accessing it. Electronic interaction with other state information systems is provided.
