In Ukraine, with the support of Denmark, the second stage of the Tiligul wind farm will be built

The DTEK company and the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas, one of the leading in the world, signed an agreement on the construction of the second phase of the Tyligul wind power plant. About this reported press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The project worth 450 million euros was officially presented in Davos with the participation of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko, the European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jorgensen, as well as the Minister of Industry, Business and Finance of Denmark Morten Bödskov.

“Implementation of the project for the construction of the Tyligul wind power plant, which should become the largest in Eastern Europe, is an important step on Ukraine’s path to the implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plan, strengthening of the state’s energy security and decarbonization of the economy.

This project is also supported by the Danish Export Credit Agency and the Danish government. This is a powerful signal to all our partners and investors that it is possible and necessary to invest in Ukraine’s recovery projects today.” – said Yuliya Svyridenko.

The second phase involves the installation of 64 wind turbines with a total capacity of 384 MW, which will be supplied by Vestas. The total capacity of two stages of the Tyligul wind farm, including 83 wind turbines, will reach 500 MW.
