Ukrainians and Belarusians detained in Poland for cooperation with Russian special services

In Poland, nine citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Belarus were detained and will be immediately deported from the country. According to Polish special services, they recruited Ukrainians for paid participation in demonstrations and acted on instructions from Russia.

This was stated by Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers of Poland, Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak. According to him, the detention was carried out by employees of the Polish Internal Security Agency in cooperation with the Border Guard.

“Since the fall of 2025, these individuals have been recruiting and paying for participation in demonstrations organized among Ukrainian refugees in Poland. According to the conclusions of the Polish Internal Security Agency, the initiative and funds for these activities came from Russia, and these actions are qualified as an attempt to influence Ukrainian migrants in Poland,” Siemoniak said.

The minister did not specify which demonstrations were in question. At the same time, the Polish side considers the detainees to be involved in organizing paid actions among Ukrainian citizens in Poland.

After the decision to expel these individuals must leave the territory of Poland. In Warsaw, such actions are considered an element of attempts to influence the Ukrainian community in the country.
