“Ukrhydroenergo” is waiting half a year for 200 million euros from the EBRD and Italy for the restoration of two hydroelectric power plants

“Ukrhydroenergo” is actively preparing to use 200 million euros, which are planned as part of the loan agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Italian government. These funds will be used to restore two hydroelectric power plants damaged by Russian missile attacks.

About this informs the press service of “Ukrhydroenergo” based on the results of the meeting of the company’s general director, Ihor Syrota, with the Italian ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa.

During the meeting, support for the restoration of Ukrainian hydropower was discussed, in particular, the use of credit funds for the restoration of damaged hydropower plants. The Formosa ambassador confirmed that Italy is ready to provide financial support and actively promote the implementation of reconstruction projects, stressing the importance of receiving these funds quickly.

Ihor Syrota emphasized that the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure is critical for ensuring Ukraine’s energy security. He also noted the significant contribution of international partners in supporting Ukraine in this difficult period.

“We greatly appreciate the help from the countries that continue to support us in such difficult times”, – noted Sirota.
