Ursula von der Leyen urged the EU to prepare for a possible war

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called on the EU to prepare for a possible war with Russia and to invest in the production of weapons.

This is reported DW.

“Toh, whoever speaks and acts like Putin does not want peace, but intends to continue,” she emphasized.

She emphasized that it is important to strengthen the defense capability of the EU. As an example, Ursula von der Leyen cited the proposal of Poland and Greece to create a joint air defense shield.

“We have to keep peace on our continent, so we need to invest in defense,” — said the President of the European Commission.

The president of the European Commission also condemned the “hybrid attacks” of Russia, in particular the recent removal of border markings on the border with Estonia and the use of migrants as a tool of confrontation with the EU.
