US considering transferring Patriot missiles to Ukraine: Trump

The United States is considering transferring missiles to Ukraine for Patriot air defense systems, which are critically needed to defend against enemy missile attacks. About this stated US President Donald Trump during a conversation with journalists aboard Air Force One.

“Patriot missiles are necessary for their defense. I don’t want to see children killed. Patriot missiles are incredibly effective. You know, we hit 14 out of 14 targets. It’s pretty incredible when you think about it.”, – noted the US president.

Trump emphasized that these missiles are extremely important for Ukraine, which has suffered significant losses due to Russian attacks. Answering questions about the possibility of transferring these missiles, the US president said:

“We can consider the transfer of missiles.”

We will remind you that on July 4 there was a telephone conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and the USA. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyi, during it, the parties agreed on steps to strengthen the protection of Ukrainian airspace from Russian attacks.

As the head of the Ukrainian state noted, an agreement was reached on the meeting of the Ukrainian and US teams to discuss the details. This conversation took place against the background of a temporary suspension of the supply of weapons by the United States, in particular, this also applies to missiles for Patriot.
