VAKS announced an international wanted list of ex-Nardeput Kryuchkov

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court granted the request of the prosecutor and declared Dmytro Kryuchkov, a former People’s Deputy from the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, on international wanted list. This is reported by the Anti-Corruption Center.

In addition, a special trial “in absentia” will be initiated against him. This decision opens the possibility to continue the appellate consideration of the case. It is about the proceedings regarding the unearned income of PJSC “ Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo” and SE “Energorynok” in the amount of over 346 million hryvnias.

During the meeting, it was found out that Kryuchkov repeatedly failed to appear in court in August and September, and his absence was considered unfounded. The prosecutor also emphasized that the ex-Deputy states Switzerland and France as his place of permanent residence, but these circumstances cannot confirm “permanence”.

The decision was made by a panel of judges consisting of Chornenko, Bondar and Semennikov. In his objections, Kryuchkov himself called the collegium “a bunch of dependent people in robes who spit on law and morality”.

We remind you that at the beginning of June, the High Anti-Corruption Court handed down a second sentence in absentia to former People’s Deputy Dmytro Kryuchkov. He was found guilty and sentenced to 10.5 years in prison with confiscation of property. And in January of this year, in the case regarding the seizure of the funds of “Cherkasioblenergo” and “Zaporizhjiaoblenergo” he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This case is currently under review at the appeals court.
