“Enemies of the people”, “political nits”: Stefanchuk on those who doubt Zelensky’s legitimacy (video)

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said that those who question the legitimacy of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi are enemies of Ukraine. After all, such actions, he believes, are aimed at destabilizing the government in the country.
This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the sidelines of the parliament on Wednesday, May 22.
“Any persons who today, during the period of martial law, question the legitimacy of the President of Ukraine are enemies of Ukraine. I really don’t want political nits to shake the issue of the legitimacy of the government in Ukraine,” Stefanchuk added.
He also added that Article 108 of the Constitution of Ukraine clearly regulates the moment of termination of the president’s powers. It is about the inauguration of the next newly elected president. At the same time, the law “On the legal regime of martial law” contains a clear provision that states that all state authorities continue to operate until the special martial law regime is lifted.
