Zelenskyy changed the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy updated the personal composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters. The relevant changes are enshrined in Decree No. 39/2026, published on the official website of the head of state.
According to the document, the Headquarters includes Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Serhiy Boev, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko.
At the same time, the decree provides for the removal of Serhiy Deyneko, who previously headed the State Border Service of Ukraine, from the Headquarters.
As previously reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Kyrylo Budanov as Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, dismissing him from the post of head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to Zelensky, Kyrylo Budanov, together with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, will deal with the issues of returning Ukrainians from Russian captivity.
