Who won at Eurovision and what place did Ukraine take?

On May 11, the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was held in the Swedish city of Malmö. The winner this year was the representative of Switzerland – the singer Nemo. He represented his country with the song “The Code”.
For reference: Nemo is the pseudonym of Swiss rapper, singer and musician Nemo Mettler (24 years old).
This year the voting consisted of two parts. First, the members of the competent jury from each participating country gave their points to the participants. Then, the results of voting by viewers from all over the world were added to these ratings.
The winner of the competition received a total of 591 points. Croatia was in second place with a score of 547 points. This year the country was represented by Baby Lasagna with the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”.
Alyona alyona and Jerry Heil performed from Ukraine with the song “Teresa & Maria”. With the result of 453 points (146 – from the jury and 307 – from the audience), the country took third place. After the performance of the song, the singers from the stage of the song contest wished: “Unity for the world! Peace and Freedom for Ukraine!” (“Unity to the world! Peace and Freedom to Ukraine!”).
During the last performance, after the announcement of the results of the contest, the winner of “Eurovision -2024” Nemo accidentally broke the award – a crystal microphone.

Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2024 was accompanied by several scandals. Due to the war in the Gaza Strip, representatives of the music industry of several countries (Sweden, France, etc.) demanded that Israel not participate in the competition this year. The organizers twice rejected the songs proposed by the country’s representative Eden Golan, seeing in them a political context. In the end, the singer’s third song was approved and she performed at the competition.
