OpenAI launches its own AI-powered browser ChatGPT Atlas
OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Atlas, a new web browser that integrates ChatGPT. The developers call this project a step towards creating a “super assistant” that can not only answer questions, but also help perform real tasks directly on the Internet. This was reported by the official OpenAI website ..
“AI gives us a rare chance to rethink how we use the Internet. We added search to ChatGPT so that users could get up-to-date information from the web, and it quickly became one of the most requested features, ” — OpenAI notes.
The Atlas browser allows ChatGPT to accompany the user while working on the Internet — to understand the context of the tasks being performed, to help directly in the current window, and to perform actions without the need to copy text or switch between tabs.
The browser integrates ChatGPT memory, thanks to which artificial intelligence can take into account the details of previous conversations and provide assistance based on data already known to the user. As Atlas works, it becomes more accurate and efficient: memory allows the AI to remember the context of visited sites and use it for future queries.
“With Atlas, ChatGPT can be with you anywhere on the web — helping you in a window right where you are, understanding what you’re trying to do, and completing tasks for you, all without having to copy and paste or navigate away from the page. Your ChatGPT memory is built in, so conversations can draw on past chats and details to help you complete new tasks,”, the company added.
