“Without the participation of Kyiv”: Lavrov once again declared the need for a ceasefire in Ukraine

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Serhii Lavrov, declared his readiness for dialogue with Europe, but refused to negotiate with the government of Ukraine.

This is stated in the material Picture.

He emphasized the need for a truce in Ukraine, but at the same time stated the Kremlin’s lack of readiness for direct negotiations with Kyiv. Lavrov claims that Russia is open to dialogue, but only on conditions that recognize the reality of controlled territories.

The American Institute for the Study of War called Russia’s attitude to the negotiations indicative. Institute analysts believe that this reinforces the Kremlin’s strategy of not recognizing the legitimate Ukrainian government and threatens Ukraine’s status as a sovereign state with recognized borders.

Lavrov also stated that Russia’s demands on Ukraine are minimal and are aimed at ensuring security in Europe, but noted that for the West, Ukraine’s role as an “instrument in the hands of Washington” is humiliating.

We will remind that Lavrov accused the Ukrainian authorities of unwillingness to engage in dialogue. Meanwhile, the Russian Minister said, the Russian Federation is allegedly open to negotiations.

According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, first of all, the West should stop supplying weapons to the Armed Forces.
