President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting dedicated to countering Russian “Shaheed” strikes, Ukrainian deep strikes, and the development of the “Drone Line” system. The main attention during the meeting was paid to methods of circumventing Ukrainian interceptors by the Russians through the territory of Belarus. The head of state himself reported this on Telegram.
According to Zelensky, intelligence recorded the location of equipment for guiding “Shaheed” on the roofs of residential buildings in border settlements of Belarus.
“In fact, on the roofs of ordinary five-story buildings, there are antennas and other equipment that help direct “shaheeds” to objects in our western regions. This is an absolute disregard for human lives”, the President emphasized.
The meeting also discussed financing the production of Ukrainian interceptors and the logistics of supplying drones to the troops.
“There is criticism directly from the units regarding the distribution of drones. I instructed the First Deputy Prime Minister, together with the Minister of Defense and the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, to modernize the drone distribution system so that more units can be provided with the necessary number, Zelensky added.
In addition, the President instructed the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense to work on updating the airspace defense strategy so that units can more effectively defend both critical infrastructure and frontline positions.
