Zelensky spoke about Russia’s losses in ports and new international risks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia has significantly reduced export volumes at key ports following Ukraine’s long-range strikes. He also reported on Moscow’s attempts to hinder Ukraine’s international defense cooperation and the buildup of Russia’s military presence in Africa. The head of state reported this on Telegram.

Zelensky listened to a report by the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Luhovsky, on the results of Ukrainian strikes on Russian logistics and energy facilities.

According to intelligence information, a decrease in load was recorded in several Russian ports:

in Primorsk — by 13%,

in Novorossiysk — by 38%,

in Ust-Luz — by 43%.

“We believe that such internal Russian data may be underestimated. In turn, we will continue the operation to reduce Russian oil revenues and export volumes,” the president noted.

Separately, Zelensky reported that Ukraine had received documents about Russia’s plans to counteract Kyiv’s international cooperation in the defense sector, in particular within the framework of the Drone Deals initiative.

According to the president, the Kremlin considers attracting investment by Ukraine and developing defense partnerships to be one of the main foreign policy challenges. Moscow is trying to prevent this, in particular through contacts with the Middle East and Gulf states.

The report also mentions an increase in the Russian military presence in Africa by approximately 8,000 people. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is expanding the use of unmanned technologies in this region through supplies, local production, and personnel training.

“In our assessment, the expansion of such military activity by Russia may inevitably lead, unfortunately, to the modernization and strengthening of terrorist organizations, cross-border crime, and instability in regions of the world that are critical in terms of migration,” the president emphasized.
