Zelenskyy arrives in the UK: first details of the visit

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi arrived in Great Britain to hold a series of important talks with key international leaders. As reported by The Guardian, meetings with the leader of the Labor Party of Great Britain Keir Starmer and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte are planned during the visit.

According to Starmer’s representative, during the meeting, the British Prime Minister will confirm “unwavering support for Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression.” The British government also stated that their position on allowing Ukraine to use long-range Storm Shadow missiles for strikes on Russian territory remains unchanged.

In addition to the British talks, Zelensky is planning meetings with other influential European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. These meetings are expected to strengthen international coordination in support of Ukraine.

In connection with Zelenskyi’s visit to Germany, security measures were increased in Berlin. According to BILD, additional police forces from other federal states were brought to the capital to ensure security during the stay of the Ukrainian president. Among the scheduled meetings in Germany are talks with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Details of how exactly Zelensky will arrive in the center of Berlin – by motorcade or by helicopter – have not yet been disclosed.
