Zelenskyy reported that more than two hundred Ukrainian military experts are currently working in the Middle East
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that now There are 201 Ukrainian military experts in the Middle East, and another 34 are ready to go on a business trip to the Gulf region. He announced this on March 17 during a speech in the British Parliament.
As the head of state noted, Ukrainian military personnel are already working in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, and are also heading to Kuwait.
Zelensky stressed that the Ukrainian authorities sent them there at the request of partners, in particular the United States, and added that this is actually “part of the drone deal” that Kyiv had previously offered to Washington.
“We are ready to offer similar agreements to all our partners, from practical cooperation in the field of drones to future defense alliances. I don’t think anyone would want to leave Ukraine’s war-tested strength and capabilities outside their security. And if they did, it would be foolish,” the president is convinced.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump criticized the Ukrainian leader, urging him to make an agreement with the Russian Federation, and also rejected Kyiv’s offer to help intercept Iranian drones.
For his part, Zelensky previously stated that almost a year ago, Ukraine proposed to the US to conclude a large-scale agreement on drones and the export of Ukrainian security technologies, which could involve cooperation worth approximately $35-50 billion dollars.
