Zelenskyy reported that the plan for a peaceful settlement of the war is 90% ready

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the 20-point plan for a peaceful settlement of the war is 90% ready. He said this during an online conversation with journalists on December 26.

According to Zelenskyy, the main task of the Ukrainian side is to complete work on the plan and bring it to full readiness.

“The plan we worked on is ninety percent ready. Our task is to make sure that it is completed one hundred percent. It is not easy, and no one promises that everything will be ready immediately,” the president noted.

Zelensky added that the planned talks in Florida with the President of the United States of America Donald Trump should help bring the desired result closer.

The president noted that the proposed plan involves the participation of four parties: Ukraine, the United States, Russia and Europe.

“Of course, these twenty points cannot be signed without the participation of Russia and European countries. This will be a quadrilateral agreement. At the same time, there are bilateral agreements, and we still have to discuss whether to sign them with President Trump. Every day, our negotiating teams make changes to the documents, and some issues can already be put to rest,” Zelensky explained.

In addition, the President of Ukraine expressed skepticism that the Russian side would agree to the proposed plan, emphasizing that the Russian Federation often looks for excuses for refusal.

“If Ukraine demonstrates a constructive position, and Russia does not agree, this indicates insufficient pressure. I also plan to discuss these issues with the US President,” Zelensky added.
